The Sennheiser All Day Clear Slim OTC hearing aids are designed by Sonova, a leader in prescription hearing aids sold under the Phonak and Unitron brands. The Sennheiser All Day Clear OTC is the only OTC hearing aid that we sell, as we believe it closely mimics the performance of an entry level prescription hearing aid.
The Sennheiser All Day Clear Slim version is similar to the original All Day Clear; however, its design is more sleek and slim. Another major difference to this version is the earbud style tip. This earbud style tip is best for streaming calls and music; however, the design causes occlusion and limits the natural sound you may notice in the original All Day Clears that utilize a traditional hearing aid tip and dome.
We sell the Slim version for an even more budget friendly price, so if you are looking to save even more and do not have severe to profound hearing loss, the Sennheiser All Day Clear Slims may be the hearing aids or you.
These All Day Clear Slim OTC devices boast 42 channels, with each channel including a range of frequencies to be processed. 42 channels is a significantly higher channel count as compared to most prescription hearing aids, enabling more broad and less technical self-made adjustments. Do not be misled though, as these OTC hearing aids enable only simple sound and volume changes, while high-end Phonak hearing aids utilize channels more intelligently, incorporating advanced noise management, spatial balancing, real-ear measurements, etc. – functions that only licensed Audiologists can access and change.
These Sennheiser All Day Clear Slim OTC hearing aids are an excellent option for those on a tighter budget or those who lead a quieter lifestyle and do not need the comprehensive features of prescription hearing aids.
