The most notable upgrade in the Oticon Reveal platform vs. the Intent line of hearing aids is the dual DNN processing system. The Reveal hearing aids include two AI DNNs working simultaneously, one focusing specifically on speech and the other on the useful background noise in the wearer’s environment. These two processors are called Speech AI and Context AI, respectively. Another addition to the Reveal product is the Reveal Optimizer, which is an improved feedback system that allows for more gain without causing whistling feedback to the user. Wind and Handling Stabilizer 2.0 is introduced with the Reveal platform, which provides superior sound processing in outdoor environments, specifically mitigating wind noise output to the user.

For instance, the Sirius platform, on which the Oticon Intent is built, replaces the Polaris as the newest, most improved sound technology. With Oticon Intent hearing aids you can identify performance level by the number appended to the name. Higher performing hearing aids have lower model numbers and integrate the highest level of speech enhancing in loud environments. For example, users with a more active lifestyle will benefit from Oticon Intent hearing aid models falling within the 1 or 2 technology level, while those who lead a quieter lifestyle may only need a 3 or 4 level with less filters and programs.
